On arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met by your personal pilot and depart on a charter flight to the Namib Naukluft Park. Following the landing is a short transfer to a beautiful lodge. After check-in you have time to relax and afterwards you may enjoy a nature drive on the private nature reserve of Kulala. Kulala Desert Lodge is situated at the foot of the majestic Sossusvlei Dunes and the camp comprises 23 thatched and canvas “kulalas” (“kulala” means to sleep), each built on a wooden platform, with a flat rooftop for sleep-outs under the stars. The main area includes a pool and wraparound veranda overlooking a waterhole. The next day, embark on an early morning excursion in an open vehicle to the famous Sossusvlei to experience the spectacular sunrise, amidst some of the highest dunes in the world, and visit the Dead Vlei. Sossusvlei is a clay pan created by a river that flows through the Namib Desert every 5 to 10 years. It is famous for the spectacular high, red sand dunes which surround it, part of a huge sea of sand. The river does not reach the Atlantic Ocean, but drains away between the dunes of Sossusvlei. The local meaning of Sossus means 'place of no return' and the word vlei is an Afrikaans word for 'marsh. Back at the Lodge, you can enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. A sunrise balloon flight over the dunes can be organized (optional). Flight duration: ± 1h15 min Fully Inclusive – Kulala Desert Lodge

The tour is led by experienced guides and well-qualified and experienced skippers.
