Today you will travel to the Etosha National park, where a short visit to Lake Otjikoto en route is recommended. It is the largest Lake in Namibia that carries water throughout the whole year. You will stay two nights at a small tented lodge, situated a mere 10 kilometers from the Von Lindequist Gate of the world famous Etosha National Park. The main Bush Camp House is thatched and has a true bush camp feel to it. The early evenings see a camp fire lit where guest can exchange stories of the day’s wildlife sightings. Etosha is an immense, saline desert, covering an area of 22’270 km², and the habitat for 114 species of animals and 340 species of birds. It has been described as one of the best game reserves on the African continent. The terrain ranges from dense bush to large open plains where animals roam freely. During your stay you can embark on game drives within the Park, where great game viewing is possible at the various waterholes. The imposing salt / clay pan is a wide, flat plain of about 5'000 km² in size. During most of the year, this white salt and limestone crust reflects in the sun, hence the translation of Etosha: "the great white square of dry water. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast – Mushara Bush Camp
